I think I had forgotten what good food tasted like. There is not one bad thing on the menu

This was BY FAR the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to! The food alone was authentic, flavorful and more than generous. The atmosphere was extremely sophisticated and intimate but also sociable enough to never have a silent awkward moment. Lastly but honestly the most memorable part of our experience was the service. The table was very accommodating, when I asked the server for his recommendation of wine or cocktail he brought out 2 samples and the final recommendation was SO delicious (he asked at least 3 times if I truly liked the drinks he brought out, and offered to bring me something different if I didn't), the server offered to take photos of our group throughout the entire night and even jokingly (but seriously) asking other servers to get out of the background, the owner of the restaurant greeted us and also hand shaved Truffle onto some of our plates and finally when the time came they brought a slice of the BEST olive oil cake I've ever tried for our friends birthday (without us asking). As we were leaving, our server escorted us out, Goulding the door for us while we waited for our $6 valet parking. This was by far the best experience I've ever had and is truly worth the hype and money. Will 1000% be back!

We took the long drive to meet some friends for dinner. Got there on the early side of opening and valet was not set up yet, so I self parked and saved the $$$. Wonderful ambiance with roomy and very comfortable booth seating. I have to highlight the booth seating for 4 of us and 2 tall guys with room to spare is unusual. Big kudos for the booth. Waiter was very attentive and kept everyone's glass full with drinks of choice. Food was very good. Fresh ingredients and al dente pasta alla vongole was tasty and clams were clean and no grit........which is the worst! Grilled Octopus was outstanding and the Sauteed Garlic Spinach was really good. The show stopper was the custom gelato. Indescribably good and to think I passed on it and ended eating half my wife's! Another winner for Ben Berg!

My summer '24 happy hour spot. Hands down. I sit in the back covered patio area, order that Bergamot Marg with the rosemary spring, a crostini and a arancini ball and vibe out. Alone. With a book. Perfection. One star bc they insist on Valet in their parking lot. Me? I hustle across 11th at the crosswalk. Safety first! Two word review: Social Hour

My husband and I live outside of Houston and we decided to celebrate my parents' 57th anniversary at Trattoria Sofia. Having dined here several times before, we thought its romantic setting would be perfect for the occasion. We were not disappointed. My parents absolutely loved it. From the cocktails and extensive wine selection to the incredible food and desserts, everything was stellar. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious, especially the bucatini. It would be too much to list all the wonderful dishes we enjoyed, but suffice it to say, each one exceeded our expectations. Our server, Coretta, was a joy and made the evening even more memorable with her attentive and cheerful service. Her presence added a special touch to an already wonderful night. Overall, Trattoria Sofia provided an unforgettable dining experience. It's definitely at the top of our list of Houston restaurants worth the drive. We look forward to many more meals here in the future. Thank you, Trattoria Sofia, for making our celebration so special!

A lovely Italian spot . The ambiance is nice and their food is delicious Parking: They do have a parking lot, but on the weekends it is valet only. There is street parking down but it fills up pretty quickly and you may have a bit of a walk down to the restaurant. Valet does accept venmo and CC. I thinks it's about $6 Seating: They have 3 areas: the bar has a few high tops and bar seating, inside has tables and booths from 2-4 (maybe 6) tops, and the outside patio has more seating as well The patio is partially cooled. We went for an early dinner the other day and it was quite hot out there, but moved under a fan and it was lovely. Food: The food is always amazing! I'm a fan of anything with pesto so I do admit I frequently get the same dish. We tried the pasta special this time as well which was a seafood option - it was absolutely delicious but at a $52 price point really put quite a dent in our bill itself. Service: We usually have pretty good service but this last time it was lacking. Our server was very attentive at first but we had to flag people down multiple times towards the end for to-go boxes and the check. Price: We've been coming here for years but have noticed the prices creep quite a but lately. It's definitely on the higher end in our experience these days. That being said, it's still worth it especially if you're having a nicer evening/date night.

I will start saying that this restaurant is absolutely cozy, very good for a romantic date. I liked the fact they have valet and all the staff is very welcoming but also knowledgeable, our waiter was amazing, he know so much about the dishes, the wines, the Italian cuisine and culture, this made the experience delightful. Service was spectacular no doubt. The food was hit and miss, the appetizers and the desserts delicious but the main meal not really, he recommended the signature dish of the restaurant, and it was honestly very bland, it literally tasted like pasta water, the cream and the pasta tasted like the water you cook the pasta in, it was very disappointing but I decided not to let this ruin my dinner. The wine he recommended was absolutely delicious, in general everything was delicious but the main meal. The restaurant is cute and very "Italy" like, it really takes you there.

What an excellent Easter Brunch we had at Sofia! We sat in the patio which is fully covered, with exposed brick and lots of plants. They keep it very cool with fans and A/C. This time I asked for their variations on the old fashioned and went with the Midwest OF. On the specials menu I wanted something protein forward so I opted for the beef short rib and was not disappointed! Excellent flavor, with awesome colors with the carrots and mashed potatoes. Always a great experience here as the service was impeccable and the food always hits the mark.

Gorgeous restaurant! We came here as part of a birthday group of ten on a Saturday and felt well taken care of! Service was great, they stayed on top of our needs and beverages were refilled/checked on quite frequently. The place is huge and has a covered outdoor section that is great during good weather. Absolutely loved the greenery decorating the entire place. As in with many other Italian restaurants, the lighting is dim which definitely made it harder to read the menu sometimes. The food was good though it did not blow me away unfortunately. I loved their pesto bucatini and the affogato was absolutely delicious! Prosciutto pizza was very good as well, the ricotta cheese gives it a tad sweeter taste but it complimented the dish quite well. We also got the shrimp dish and it tasted a bit too out of the sea for me. Pasta definitely tastes fresh and you can tell it was made in house. All in all a good experience for sure. This place is on the pricier side, and drinks are more or less 15-20 dollars a pop but they're strong and the ambiance is very romantic.

Galentine's is always needed to show some appreciation for the girlies. This year we went to Trattoria Sofia. We went on the day of their event and sat on the patio. It is covered and can be sat on even during the rain. I'd recommend sitting here for brunch. Brighter than the inside for sure. I arrived before my friends. Although the others weren't there yet Jasmine still gave me plenty of attention getting me a drink promptly. She also got me the purse stand which was nice off the bat. She made sure that I knew each of the menus including the special one. We ordered the whipped ricotta for the appetizer. The bread was nice and fresh. The frittata was delightful. So fluffy and a huge portion. All for the portions were generous. When the focaccia wasn't ready when we first got there the manager brought one over to us. It was amazing! I never knew I'd like crispy speck. Overall we were well taken care of. Drinks always full. The portions plentiful. The atmosphere dreamy.
